Allergy Awareness Week 2015
This is Allergy Awareness week 2015. Each year in the UK £68 million is spent on hospital admissions because of allergies. Between 2013 and 2014, the number of hospital admissions for this reason rose by 8%. There is no single reason why there has been such an increase in the number of allergy sufferers, but rather it has been suggested that it is due to a combination of reasons including changing diet, genetics and the fact that we now live in a cleaner world. It is suggested that children of this generation are not coming into contact with bacteria that helps to develop the immune system and this has led to the number of children and adults developing one or more allergies. For advice or information on allergies, call into our store today and speak to a member of staff. We are open until 10pm Monday-Friday.
