According to Age Uk approximately 25,000 elderly people die every year from the cold. This is equivalent to one death every 7 minutes. Why not take time to look out for our elderly neighbours, family and friends? We could offer assistance by doing odd jobs such as changing light bulbs, going to the shop for groceries they may need, or simply providing company. If you have serious concerns about an elderly person, contact your local council and let them know.
