This is Food Safety week. Food poisoning happens when contaminated food is eaten. It is very common with approximately 60,000 cases being reported in the UK each year. Normally, 1-2 days after eating contaminated food the symptoms begin. These may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and abdominal pains. In most cases the symptoms pass within a few days. It is important to keep hydrated when food poisoning occurs. Oral Rehydration salts are available in the pharmacy. Call in and speak to a member of staff for advice and treatment. We are open until 10pm tonight, 9.00-8.00 Saturday and 9.00-6.00 Sunday.
